Chronixx drop a dance video for “Likes” featuring dance group Ravers Clavers.
This is the second music video to be released for the popular single this year. The track is featured on the reggae singer’s chart topping album Chronology, for which he earned himself a Grammy and MOBO nomination for. The cut features members of the popular dance group headed by Ding Dong showing off some new dance moves that they debut this year. Ding Dong didn’t make a cameo but Beenie Man daughter Desha Ravers showed off some impressive moves.
Chronixx says he released the new video to pay homage to dancing, something he grew up on. 2017 has been a big year for the reggae star who is at the forefront of the reggae revival movement. Last weekend he performed in front of a sold out crowd at Mas Camp in Kingston as he brought his Chronology World Tour to his home soil.
Beenie Man responded to some recent criticisms from his daughter Desha Ravers in a new song.
Last month, Desha Ravers, whose real name is Deshagaye Davis, publicly called out Beenie Man for being a bad father. “Mi just think him need fi step up him thing,” the dancer said. “Him a mek whole heap a luu moves suh him just need fi start be a man, a father and everything inna one now,” she said without going into specific details about her contention with the deejay. “The person weh everybody know out a road a nuh the person weh me know.”
Beenie Man released a new single “Twingy Twanga” where he gave his daughter, who is a member of Ravers Clavers dance group, a big shout-out. “Me stop from dance I would never never / Me stop love Deshagay I would never never / Cause all of my kids them born in dancehall,” Beenie deejay over the Belly Bounce Riddim, produced by Cornelius Records.
Ding Ding pays homage to the late dancing legend Bogle in his new video “Lebeh Lebeh.”
The dancer turn deejay roll out with his entire Ravers crew for the Icey Jace-directed cut including Beenie Man’s daughter Desha Ravers. The Lebeh Lebeh dance is the one of the hottest new dance moves in dancehall currently and it was invented by the Raver leader.
Earlier this month, Ding Dong made headlines when he released a new single “Flare” where he took a shot at Busy Signal. The Turf Boss responded with a gritty new single “Stay So” on the New Box Riddim. Watch Ding Dong new music video “Lebeh Lebeh” below.
